Delightfully Gluten Free (TM)

Giveaway Extravaganza – Part 5

Every year, I buy myself a Sandra Boynton calendar.  I love her drawings, attitude, general creativity.  One of the pages in my desk calendar has a caricature of a hippo, I think, and the following text: “EMERGENCY ALERT: If I am found vague, listless, or agitated ADMINISTER CHOCOLATE IMMEDIATELY”.

If you tend to agree with this sentiment, then you will LOVE this giveaway.

Stonyfield Farms recently sent me some of their new Oikos Pure Pleasure Chocolate and Caramel Organic Greek Yogurts, and set up a giveaway for you.

Caramel + Oikos =Pure Awesomeness

Seriously, I feel like I should carve it into a tree with a big heart around it.gluten-free and fabulous

Braden snuck one out of the fridge the other day.  I looked at him, furrowed my eyebrows (at which point he looked very guilty), and then I made him promise to tell me what he thought of it (which caused him to laugh, of course).  He loved it.  He also told me that he didn’t stir it up very well, so when he got to the bottom, he got extra-caramelly-goodness.

They are just sweet enough to make your tastebuds really happy, but not too sweet.  I don’t know if it is humanly possible to eat just one, though.  But when they are sitting there in your fridge, and you’ve already spent 11 hours on the computer working today and you’ve got a few more to go… (It is Labor Day, after all, so I guess I must labor away.)

So, Oikos also put chocolate in their yogurt.  Smashing idea, by the way.  If you’ve had other chocolate yogurts and felt a bit guilty or didn’t like the sugar involved, then this is for you (and if you really like the really sugary ones, then you probably need to eat this 🙂 ).  These are barely sweet at all, but they are pretty chocolatey, and very tasty.  I feel a need to lick the bowl.  You won’t tell, will you?

Did you know that Oikos Greek yogurts are certified gluten-free by the Gluten Free Certification Organization?

Are you ready for some chocolate love, to celebrate the arrival of these great new yogurts?  The winner will receive:

-    2 Free Coupons for Stonyfield 6oz. Yogurt (try the flavors Chocolate Underground Cream Top and White Chocolate Raspberry Cream Top)

-    1 sample of Numi Organic Chocolate tea

-    1 Dagoba/Eco Lips Organic Chocolate chapstick

-    1 Skinnyskinny real cocoa organic soap bar

-    2 free coupons for Chocolate and Caramel Oikos multipacks

–    Recipe card set featuring Chocolate Cheesecake, as well Oikos spatula

To enter this giveaway, leave a comment about your favorite chocolate experience (keep it clean).

This giveaway is open to U.S. readers, and will close at 9:00pm Central on Tuesday, September 21, 2010.

P.S. – You’ve got one more day to enter Part 1, and just a few more days to enter Part 2 of the Giveaway Extravaganza.  Don’t forget about Part 3 and Part 4.

My favorite chocolate experience happened in New York City when my daughter and I tried Crumbs Bake Shop cupcakes – every chocolate flavor they had! Since then I have been trying to recreate our favorites – gluten free – for my grandsons who are Celiac.

I love chocolate. After I had my first child I did not eat chocolate because I was told that it would upset his stomach. I soon learned that other moms ate chocolate. Well I decided that I could eat it too. It was wonderful to eat it again.

Favorite chocolate: homemade trail mix with Enjoy Life chocolate chips or the pudding dessert that I made for my husband’s birthday last night. Chocolate pudding is one of the layers.

Chocolate is my favorite thing when it is surrounded by peanut butter! My hubby often finds me with a jar of peanut butter in my hand and a sheepish look on my face…I always tell him chocolate chips just happened to fall into the jar. LOL My day just isn’t right until I’ve had some peanut butter and chocolate!

Call me a dork, but I don’t have my own “chocolate experience”. I love chocolate and make lots of yummy chocolate goodness at my house, but no real experience. I do laugh at the chocolate episode on Wizards of Waverly Place.

Chocolate….is wonderful. My favorite chocolate experience is every time I’m having a bad day and have a piece (or four…) of chocolate and it just makes the whole day better, no matter what is going on.

Actually I think my favorite chocolate experience is the gluten-free cheesecake my family made for me for last christmas, some sort of amazing cheesecake concoction on a gf German Chocolate cake base. The tartness of the cheesecake with the decadent richness of the cake…ooooh it was amazing. 🙂

I went to the Cadbury chocolate factory in England about 5 years ago. It was heavenly! They even sampled liquid chocolate in a little cup. It was seriously an amazing experience!
