I see that the diabetics are wanting something that wont spike their insulin levels and that tastes good too. The dates are the only naturally sweet ingredient. The way that it is mixed with the powders and walnuts make the uptake very very slow so most diabetics are ok with it. I originally developed this product because of my own sugar sensitivities.
