Some
My first use of this was pretty basic. Â I mixed Hey Shuga! with unsweetened chocolate almond milk. Â It didn’t take much, and it worked like a charm.
Hey Shuga! is basically just that: sugar. Â Ok, and water. Â Technically, it is organic invert cane sugar. Â Lil’ Shuga is organic invert sugar, water, and Reb A (stevia extract).
I didn’t detect any aftertaste from the stevia in Lil’ Shuga! Â I know stevia’s not “supposed” to have an aftertaste, but I have tasted it in some yogurts in the past. Â This, however, seems to be aftertaste-free.\
With cool weather beginning to come upon us (well, it has only been in the 90s lately…), I need to start figuring out a good hot chocolate recipe for Braden that doesn’t have any corn or soy.  I think that Hey Shuga! just might play a starring role in that.
I wonder if I can use it to make “caramel corn” with popped sorghum…
