I’m a little embarrassed to admit that sometimes companies send me products to review that I’m a little wary of trying. Like kale chips, for example.
But I shouldn’t have been!
My first bite of Rhythm
Free from milk? Don’t despair – these chips are vegan. The cheesy taste is brought to you through the magic of cashews, apparently.
Ingredients: organic kale, organic cashew, organic red bell pepper, organic zucchini, organic carrot, organic onion, organic yeast powder, organic garlic, organic apple cider vinegar, organic lemon juice concentrate, organic spices, sea salt.
I’m not the only one who loves them. Carter won’t leave me alone! But I’m totally okay with that.
You see, in half a bag of Kool Ranch Kale Chips (what Carter is eating here), 80% recommended daily value of vitamin C, 112% of vitamin A, 10% iron, 6% of calcium, plus 6 grams of protein, 2 grams of dietary fiber, and only 100 calories (all of the fat, 5 grams, comes from the cashews).
And my child is eating kale (and loving it!). I win.
The Bombay Curry chips have that slightly sweet but spicy flavor you would expect from curry. Carter says “they just taste normal.” He’s not quite 5, so we don’t get the most exciting descriptions from him. :) But he ate a whole bunch of it, so it must be pretty good.
There’s a store finder on their website, so check them out. You may find a new snack to enjoy that doesn’t make you cringe when you walk by the bathroom scale.
