Ah.. the State Fair of Texas, where you can get anything and everything fried. Â It’s the best place in the world to create a blockage in your arteries.
It is not, however, a great place for the gluten intolerant to find a meal.
Until now.
Good Karma Kitchen (a gf food truck) and SlushWorks is teaming up to bring the first gluten-free fair food to the fair. Â They will be located in the Food and Fiber pavilion.
The State Fair opens this Friday and runs through October 21st. Â If you go, check out Good Karma. Â I’ve eaten from their truck once and loved it!

I actually contacted the Concessions people at the State Fair of Texas and they had just finalized their list of gluten free foods. I posted about it here:

Unfortunately, not much fried food …. but french fries in a dedicated frialator!
I guess that’s what I get for posting from a newsletter. I actually haven’t been to the State Fair since I was 13. Other than Big Tex, I have no idea what’s there.
