After I did the Betty
Yoplait yogurt is probably a staple in many of your fridges. It often is in mine. It is probably found in every grocery store, comes in many cool flavors, and, best of all, says “gluten free” right on the package.
We try to eat yogurt pretty often in our house, for the nice probiotics to keep our insides healthy. Plus it is a great breakfast. I don’t really like all the sugar in the regular Yoplait, however. So for me, I eat them as a healthier treat.
Currently, my favorite Yoplait flavor is Blackberry Pomegranate. It’s a great combination of two of my favorite flavors. My parents have grown blackberries for as long as I can remember, and when I was little, my grandmother grew pomegranates. Memories come with this flavor.
Did you know that Yoplait has vitamin D? If you’ve ever heard Dr. Cathy Breedon speak, then you know that we are not getting enough vitamin D in our diets.
Currently, Yoplait is partnering with Nancy O’Dell (of Access Hollywood fame) to encourage people to get active and eat a healthy diet.
If you are interested in learning about Nancy O’Dell’s healthy lifestyle tips, you can visit Yoplait on facebook.
Do you want to do more to get healthy and active? How about pulling out your yoga mat and starting with some stretching? I was a bit sad when my mom came home from her huge fitness expo week and didn’t bring me a yoga mat. But it’s okay – I now have a cute red Yoplait one. And so could you.
Two lucky readers will win a “Get Strong and Healthy” package provided by MyBlogSpark, including a yoga mat and carrying bag, a copy of Nancy O’Dell’s book Full of Life, and a free coupon for Yoplait yogurt (and for some unknown-to-me reason, this coupon is not valid in ID, LA, ND, NJ, NV, TN – but you could still use the other cool stuff).
Just leave me a comment and tell me how you and your family try to lead a healthy and active lifestyle. I’ve been working hard to get to the gym at least 3 times a week and take hour-long aerobics classes, such as STEP and Zumba.
This giveaway will end at 9 pm central on Friday, October 2nd.

I use the treadmill during my kids’ nap. As a family, we are always walking the neighborhood while my kids ride their bikes.

I work out at a local gym at least 3 days a week. I run on the treadmill and lift weights. I also bike outdoors with my fiance.
My husband and I go to boot camp twice a week and zumba on Saturdays. I also like to take a little walk during my lunch breaks.
I’m new to your blog and I’m adding you to my google reader. =)
I’ll be honest, I haven’t been perfect at improving my health lately. I’ve been walking and spinning but having trouble making it a pattern. One thing that has forced me to eat better is my new gluten intolerance. No more baked goods for me – that is good for the waistline.
Oh cool! I love it! I recently lost 30 pounds by a combo of eating healthy, Jazzercise, Yoga Classes, and various fitness DVDs. I just added Water Aerobics to the mix yesterday and LOVE it!! 🙂
I love throwing this yogurt in the freezer it is like icecream. For excersise I take the dog on a 3 mile walk a couple times a week…at physial theapy I have been doing the Wii now that is fun and will be getting one for X-mas, putting the board on the mat will help it say stable,
My family like biking and jogging at least twice a week and I try my best to make sure we eat balanced meals with enough veggie and fruit!
With SOOOOOO many healthy activities to choose from I find it fun to try new things! My husband and I regularly exercise at the gym (try to make 3 times per week), we work out with a trainer on the weekend and we have tried salsa dancing together. I have done belly dancing classes, yoga, kick boxing, dancing while I clean (the hubby loves this one…haha!) Then to top it all off de-stressing with a massage every couple of weeks makes a huge difference in my health. As for the yogurt…YUM. I take vanilla yoplait, mix it with granola (GF of course) and some frozen berries. It is so good….or you can grill peaches and top it off with the vanilla yogurt. Healthy treat but it tastes like it is naughty! 🙂
Thanks so much for the tips! I am super excited to find this site!
After having my baby I started by playing volleyball once a week for 4 hours. Then I started doing a kickboxing self defense class that really makes me sweat. I started as a baginner in an advance class. I also added tae kwon do to make the kickboxing easier. Now I should be learning the moves properly. I love the exhileration involved in these types of exercises. Eating tons of fruits and vegetables also helps to make my body function better.
Exercise and eating healthy is part of our everyday routine. I get up early to get in a run or spin class and top it off with stretches or yoga. Without my daily dose of exercise, my days just don’t seem complete.
I just started getting in to yoga. I love a class called Body Flow – which is a combo of Yoga, Pilates and Tai Chi. Great for relaxation! I also lift weights and do kickboxing for getting out the stress!
