Yoplait Greek Yogurt and a Giveaway

“Would you be surprised to learn that nearly 70 percent of women are in an unsatisfying relationship… with their snacks?”

This was at the beginning of the email from MyBlogSpark, in regards to checking out Yoplait Greek Yogurt and conducting a giveaway.  The funny thing about this is that when I first received this email, I had actually started a post about snacking (no, you didn’t miss it, I just never ended up publishing it).

If you pay any attention to Greek Yogurt, you may have noticed that the Yoplait Greek Yogurt has recently changed.  When I first tried the original, I felt like it had a “powdered milk” flavor (I grew up on powdered milk, and sometimes ate it straight out of the box as a child, so I know what I’m talking about).  Whatever was causing that before has been taken care of in this new version.

Yoplait Greek Yogurt is pretty big on the protein.  One 6-ounce cup has 14 grams of protein.  That’s great, especially since I sometimes feel like I don’t get enough protein in relation to all the hard work I put in at the gym.  I should have eaten one of these yesterday morning, because after Zumba and halfway through boot camp, I realized that my protein intake had been pathetic.  It made the whole day rough.

As you can see from the picture, the yogurt has fruit on the bottom.  The fruit portion is not too sweet, and it’s sweetened with sugar, not high fructose corn syrup.  There were actually quite a few blueberries in it, too.  The yogurt is thick and creamy.  It’s fat free, with only 160 calories, and 20 grams of sugar.  Fruit and vegetable juices are used for color, not those pesky dyes.

MyBlogSpark would like to offer one of you a Yoplait Greek gift pack that includes a coupon organizer, a magnetic customized meal planner board, a mini pocket fold-up tote (aka shopping bag), an electronics case, retractable ear buds, and a magnetic shopping cart note holder and a pen.

The kids and I really like the meal planner board.  I put it up on the fridge and we have been planning out our weekly meals, which is not only a time saver, but it leaves less room for stress.  🙂

What I need from you: comment on this post, and let me know what are your favorite healthy snacks.  This giveaway will end on Wednesday, April 27, 2011, at 9 pm central.

And just so you know, all of the materials were provided to me by Yoplait through MyBlogSpark.

P.S. – Go to http://bit.ly/greekcoupon to get a coupon for 35 cents off the new Yoplait Greek Yogurt.
